*NEW DISCOVERY: Planet Apollo

HOT TOPIC: PLANET APOLLO

NEW PLANET DISCOVERED!

The planet Apollo.

APOLLO, that is the name of the newest planet discovered. Today, the eight planet in our solar system has been found. The planet, which is the closest to the sun, was found by chance, when it was perfectly aligned with Earth and the Sun, which caused trauma in Singapore where many thought that the end of the world was near. Hear is what one of them said," I was scared out of my wits. I thought that it was the end of everyone. There was this huge shadow which made everything look dark and gloomy." The speaker wants to be known only as 'John'. After the incident, observatories all turned their attention to this strange incident. They put their telescopes on the calculated location of Apollo, and found it to be orbiting the Sun.

Amazingly, this planet has neither rings or a moon. It is so hot on Apollo that almost everything there is in liquid form, or even in their gaseous state. The planet is rich in silver, gold, platinum and other precious stones, making it the most 'valuable' planet. No spacecraft is able to visit Apollo as it is just too hot. Apollo is classified as a planet as it orbits the Sun, has enough mass to maintain a spherical shape, and is gravitationally dominant in its area. Apollo is the name of a Greek god. Even though the Sun is attributed to him, there is no planet named after him. It is also because Apollo is the closest planet to the Sun and therefore the hottest. Hence the name Apollo.

Apollo only has an axial tilt of 10 degrees. This means there is very little difference in temperatures. Apollo is 40 million km away from the sun and orbits the sun once in 62.5 days, the fastest among all the planets in our solar system. One day on Apollo is estimated to be 700 hours. That is a lot of time just for one day. Apollo is a tad smaller than Mercury. It is approximately 4500km in diameter and weighs around 60,000,000,000,000,000,000 metric tons. Apollo has an atmosphere mostly made out of carbon dioxide, but there is still a small percentage of Ozone. Hence, a lot of heat is trapped, making the temperatures very high.

Apollo is dark red and has a rocky terrain which can be seen from afar, just like the Earth. The core of the Apollo has a radius of 2000km. The mantle is 400km thick and the crust is only 100km thick, making it the thinnest of the three.

The environment on Apollo is not able to support human life as it is way to hot there. There is also twice as much gravity on Apollo than on Earth, making movement harder.

Even though Apollo is not suitable for human living, it is still an intriguing discovery that might make astrologers rethink on how many planets there really are in our solar system.
